Terms of Use

1. WeldBud and these Terms

WeldBud is provided by X3M TIG Welding Ltd., 13025 6 St SW, Calgary, AB T2W 4J8, Canada ("we", "us" or "our"). These Terms describe use of weldbud.com, the WeldBud app and related services. App and subscription provisions apply when those features are available to you, including through testing access. Please read them before using WeldBud or purchasing a subscription.

WeldBud is intended for adults aged 18 and over. For support or questions about these Terms, contact info@weldbud.com.

2. Calculations and suggested starting points

WeldBud provides calculation tools, reference information and suggested starting points for welding and related field work. Results depend on your inputs and the supported scope of each tool. They may not account for every condition of your job, equipment, material or joint.

WeldBud does not issue a qualified Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), approve a weld or certify code compliance. Verify results against your applicable WPS, project requirements, equipment instructions and required quality-control process. If a suggestion differs from an applicable requirement, follow that requirement. Use appropriate training, professional judgment and testing before applying settings.

Amperage, gas-flow and bead/pass estimates do not guarantee weld quality, penetration or acceptance. A calculated purge time does not establish an acceptable measured oxygen level. Estimated component or assembly weights do not establish lifting capacity or provide a lifting plan. These statements describe the limits of any such tools when available; they do not promise that every tool is included in your version.

Check dimensions, material selections and units before relying on a result. Changing displayed units does not change the applicable procedure or safety requirements.

3. Accounts and appropriate use

Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not bypass access controls, disrupt services, misuse another person’s information or use WeldBud unlawfully.

Only submit job information or other content that you are permitted to provide. Avoid including unnecessary confidential or personal information in calculations or support messages.

4. Monthly Advanced subscription

Where offered, Monthly Advanced is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple’s in-app purchase system. The purchase offer and Apple’s confirmation screen show the price, currency, monthly subscription period and any applicable offer conditions before you confirm.

Advanced access includes the features described in the purchase offer. Planned features are not a promise of delivery or part of your purchase unless expressly included in that offer.

Apple charges the payment method associated with your Apple Account when you confirm a paid purchase, subject to any offer terms shown. Your subscription renews automatically until cancelled. Apple may charge for renewal during the 24 hours before the next subscription period. Review the renewal date and cancel in advance using your Apple subscription settings and the cancellation terms that apply in your region.

Manage or cancel your subscription: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions/. Cancellation ordinarily stops future renewal while access continues for the remainder of the paid period, subject to the transaction status and your applicable rights.

For an Apple purchase refund request, use reportaproblem.apple.com. Eligibility and processing depend on Apple’s applicable refund process and your statutory rights. These Terms do not impose a blanket no-refund rule.

Use the app’s purchase-restoration option for an eligible purchase. Restoration depends on the Apple purchase and its association with a WeldBud account; it is not a promise that a subscription can be transferred between WeldBud accounts. If access is not restored, contact support before purchasing again.

Deleting the app or requesting deletion of your WeldBud account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Subscription cancellation and account deletion are separate actions.

5. iOS application license

Your iOS app license is governed by the end user license agreement applicable to your App Store download. Where no custom license is supplied, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies. These WeldBud Terms address the additional service matters described here and do not replace or override that license or mandatory consumer rights.

6. Content and service availability

WeldBud branding, software and content remain owned by their respective owners. Your permitted use is subject to the applicable app license and these Terms. Third-party links and references do not imply endorsement.

Some features require an internet connection. Maintenance, outages, device compatibility and third-party services may affect availability. We may update the app, its content and its features.

We will honour subscription commitments and remedies required by applicable law. Changes to the service do not remove your statutory rights or give us an unrestricted right to withdraw paid benefits.

7. Privacy, account concerns and closure

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, retention and privacy requests.

WeldBud is still in development. Contact info@weldbud.com about account access, closure or deletion requests. We may verify account ownership. Do not send passwords, authentication codes or payment-card details by email.

During current app testing, use Settings → Delete account and follow the ownership-verification and confirmation steps to request account deletion. Successfully accepted requests begin processing and block further account activity without a mandatory waiting period, but completion can depend on service availability. A request can remain pending after closing and reopening the app. No fixed completion time is promised. Wait for completion confirmation before treating the account as deleted. Completed account closure is irreversible and removes the associated profile and setup data. The app clears local account state and signs you out when it observes completion. See the Privacy Policy for remaining status records, backups and justified retention exceptions.

Account deletion does not cancel or refund an Apple subscription. Manage subscriptions at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions/. Apple processes refund requests separately; your statutory consumer rights remain unchanged.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks or unlawful activity. Any restriction remains subject to applicable law, required notice and available remedies. Contact support if you believe your account has been restricted in error.

8. Future community features

Community chat and public posting are planned features and are not currently offered under these Terms. Before introducing them, we will provide applicable participation rules and information about moderation, reporting, blocking, content rights and privacy.

9. Consumer rights and responsibility

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights, guarantees, remedies or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This includes applicable consumer rights in the place where you live.

The applicable app license addresses application-license matters. WeldBud’s estimates and reference information do not replace the verification and job-specific responsibilities described in these Terms.

If you have a complaint or dispute about WeldBud, contact info@weldbud.com so we can try to resolve it. This does not prevent you from exercising a legal remedy or contacting a relevant regulator or consumer-protection body.

10. Changes and contact

We will post updated Terms with their effective date and provide notice or request consent to material changes where required by applicable law. A change to these Terms does not remove accrued rights or mandatory consumer protections.
